Lately, I’ve been submitting Rock N Roll Mamas to festivals which is very exciting.
Last week I submitted to SXSW where we hope to premiere and yesterday I submitted to Tribeca Film Festival. I’ve also sent the film to various documentary film festivals including Big Sky and True/False.
I really want the film to be seen by a wide audience as I think it will make a strong impact on how folks feel about indie musicians and artists mothers. These folks work hard; the film shows that!
The plan for the film is to go through the festival circuit and then approach distributors and sales reps. Distributors and sales reps like to see festival laurels on the films they sell; our team is following the feedback we’ve gotten from them.
As such, I’m applying to more festivals, about one to two a month. I’ll keep you posted on the festival progress in future blog posts and will go back over the whole process of making the film from pre-production until now. It will be nice to get the entire story written down…
Let me know if you have questions or want to hear about something specific in the film’s trajectory.
Thanks for your interest in Rock N Roll Mamas!
